INSTRUCTOR

The Trauma and the Healing Power of Love series is presented by Dr. Rick Hanson, who has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA and over 30 years of licensed clinical practice, as well as many years of teaching in doctoral-level environments, including a talk at the 2016 APA general meeting. CE ELIGIBLE CONTENT:

Only Dr. Hanson’s didactic presentations and exercises are eligible or required for CE credit. While CE participants are welcome to engage the supplemental materials (e.g. meditations and suggested readings), this is optional.

Dr. Hanson’s presentations and exercises in the Trauma and the Healing Power of Love series consists of 7 hours.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The Trauma and the Healing Power of Love series is suitable for anyone who has experienced trauma and/or past wounds and is looking for helpful ways to cope, process, and move forward. LEARNING OBJECTIVES FOR GRIEF AND LOSS

  1. Provide effective emotional support to enable clients to process and accept past trauma.
  2. Help clients appreciate that trauma happens to many people, and that it is processed in highly individualized ways.
  3. Understand the biopsychosocial development of trauma in mammalian, primate, and human evolution.
  4. Explain how a person’s challenges, vulnerabilities, and resources combine to shape their course after trauma.
  5. Teach clients how to apply self-compassion to soothe trauma and past wounds.
  6. Help clients identify external sources of support to cope with trauma.
  7. Teach clients how to use mindfulness to reduce triggering after trauma.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OBTAINING CE HOURS

First, you'll need to purchase the online workshop, and also pay the $50 administrative fee. Once you complete the series, you will need to provide photo identification, complete the Being Well, Inc. CE Feedback form, and take the Post-Test. 

A passing score on the post-test is 80% (or more) correct answers. You need a passing score to receive Continuing Education hours. If you do not receive a passing score, you will be able to retake the test.

After you receive a passing score on the post-test, and your photo ID is verified, you will receive the certificate via email.
